Q. How to I access my Dropbox files if I don't have the Dropbox client installed on my computer?
A. Go to https://dropbox.com and login with your Exeter credentials.

Q. How do I access my Dropbox files from a Microsoft application such as Word or Excel?
A. You must have the Dropbox app installed. 
From a Windows computer while in the Microsoft application such as Word or Excel, select File > Open > Browse.  You'll see the Dropbox (Phillips Exeter) and Dropbox (Personal) under Favorites (in file explorer).
From a Mac while in an application, select File > Open > On My Mac > user home location > Dropbox (Phillips Exeter) and Dropbox (Personal).

Q. What happens to all the folders I’ve shared if I leave PEA?
A. Prior to leaving Phillips Exeter Academy, you can either reassign ownership of folders or IT can reassign ownership to another user. https://www.dropbox.com/help/242

Q. What happens if I don’t see a shared folder any longer?
A. Contact the owner of the folder to see if they have removed you from the permissions of the folder.  If the person no longer works at PEA, contact ITS about permissions to a folder.

Q. Can I save personal files to Phillips Exeter Dropbox?
A. You should not save personal files (such as family or personal photos, private documents) to Phillips Exeter Dropbox.  All materials stored in your Phillips Exeter Dropbox account are subject to Academy policies and are considered Academy property.  Do not store personal materials in your Phillips Exeter Dropbox.
