Your Admissions Interview
We want to get to know you: what you’re passionate about, your favorite activity, the last book you read, anything that helps us understand what you love to do. That’s why we require an interview for all applicants. It’s a two-way conversation, so bring your own questions. We want you to get to know us, too.
Scheduling
Candidates applying for the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to schedule their interview. In order to schedule an interview, you must complete the Part 1 of the Gateway to Prep Schools application. Once submitted, you will receive your login information to your Exeter Applicant Portal the following day. Within the portal, you will be able to see our interview options, we offer in-person interviews both on-campus and while our admissions team is traveling. We also offer virtual interviews which are conducted by members of the admissions team, alumni and faculty members.
Please note that interviews are a required part of the application process. Each applicant is eligible for one interview appointment, which must be completed by Jan. 31.
