Health Forms Timelines

The necessary health forms will be available from May 4 – May 20. The portal will close and all forms will be due by May 20. Link to the Medicat Health Forms Portal to come.

• All students are required to upload a physical dated after 9/1/2025.
• All health forms are required yearly for both new and returning students.
• Exeter follows the State of New Hampshire immunization guidelines.

Parent Guide to Medications at Exeter

The LHWC must be notified of any pharmaceutical product being used on campus. This includes prescription medications, over the counter (OTC) medications, vitamins and supplements.

The LHWC stores and administers most of the prescription medications on campus (see the “list of medications” link below). Students may keep certain prescription and OTC medications, vitamins and supplements in their dorm room and self-administer, as long as the LHWC has been previously notified.

The Medical Director, or their designee, at their sole discretion, may prohibit a student from keeping a pharmaceutical product (prescription or OTC medication, vitamin or supplement) in their room and self-administering. Medications stored at the LHWC must be picked up by the student, parent or guardian prior to departing campus for an end of term, mid-winter or summer break. Any medication left in the LHWC will be disposed of in accordance with LHWC policies.

Health Insurance

Students are required to have health insurance coverage valid in the State of New Hampshire that provides the level of benefits deemed necessary by the Academy.

Any healthcare provided to the student within the Lamont Health and Wellness Center is free of charge, and there are no bills associated with these services. Other services, including laboratory tests, imaging/x-rays, prescriptions, specialist visits, emergency room trips and hospitalizations, are items that may be charged to the student’s health insurance carrier by the third party providers of those services. Treatment costs that are not covered by private insurance plans are the responsibility of the student’s parent/guardian. It is beyond the scope at the health center to verify an individual’s insurance coverage. The health center team will contact a parent/guardian if care outside of the health center is recommended. However, it is your responsibility to check coverage of the recommended treatment with your insurance company.

Due to state and federal rulings, the Academy is not able to offer an insurance plan to domestic students at this time. Domestic students with a state-funded healthcare plan like Medicaid, may have some services that are only covered within the specific state of residence.
