Marina Vijayakanthan

Biography

Dr. Marina Vijayakanthan is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from St George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Vijayakanthan completed her general psychiatry residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center/Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Vijayakanthan provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management and diagnostic consultations here at Phillips Exeter Academy. Besides coming to Phillips Exeter once weekly, she consults at Hampstead Hospital and Phillips Academy, and sees private clients in her office. Her clinical interests and expertise range from mood and anxiety disorders in adolescents to more complex and comorbid conditions such as Autism. 

Dr. Vijayakanthan resides in Andover, Massachusetts, with her husband and daughter. For leisure she enjoys traveling, running and spending time with her family.
