Biography

Mr. Kepka joined the Exeter Athletic Training team in the fall of 2022. Previously he worked as an Athletic Trainer at Atlantic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and at the University of New Hampshire.

J.P. was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri where he lived until he was 14 years old. At age 14 he and his sister Katy left home and moved to Marquette Michigan to pursue a career in Short Track Speed Skating. J.P eventually was invited to train with the US National Team in Colorado Springs Colorado where he would meet his wife, Caroline who is a three-time Winter Olympian. While training and competing for the US National Team he qualified for two Winter Olympic Games and numerous world cup and world championship teams competing across Europe and Asia. His athletic achievements include winning a Bronze Medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino Italy and winning the 2008 World Team Championships in Harbin China.

After retiring from Short Track in 2010 he pursued his Athletic Training degree at the University of New Hampshire. JP and his family, wife Caroline, daughter Joanna, Australian Shepherd Lola, and cat Phil, live in Exeter New Hampshire.
