Exeter Summer is an academic program for middle and high school students. The program draws curious students from across the globe to Exeter for an experience that shapes them into better thinkers, leaders and humans. Join our amazing team of educators and residential staff who, in one summer, make a profound difference in the lives of students!

Teaching at Exeter Summer

Exeter Summer is a rewarding teaching experience. Openings vary based upon our enrollment and hiring begins in the spring.

The 2025 Summer Teaching application will open this fall.

Summer Internships

Each year, the summer program at Exeter seeks a number of outstanding college juniors, seniors and graduate students who have a strong interest in teaching middle and high school students.

The intern program at Exeter Summer is an opportunity to learn and practice the Harkness teaching method. Interns are paired with and led by an experienced faculty mentor who works closely with them, preparing them to co-teach and then to teach on their own by the end of the summer session, all in a boarding school environment.

The 2025 Summer Teaching Internship application will open this fall.
