Financial Aid Applicant Information

The deadline to submit a financial aid application is March 1

Exeter Summer seeks qualified and motivated students from a variety of backgrounds. While financial aid funds are limited, we are committed to making Exeter Summer affordable to families from a range of incomes.

  • Awards are determined by demonstrated need and do not cover the cost of incidentals, travel, books, SSAT prep course, Exeter Rowing Club, Exeter Soccer Club, Exeter Volleyball Club, or private music lessons.
  • Exeter Summer offers limited financial aid to domestic (U.S.) applicants.
  • Limited resources preclude offering financial aid to international applicants.
  • Financial aid awards are limited and competitive dependent upon the number of financial aid applicants in a given year.
  • Students who have received financial aid from Exeter Summer in the past are not eligible to receive financial aid again.
  • The deadline to submit an application with financial aid consideration is March 1.
  • Financial aid decisions are released by April 1.
  • Financial aid applicants who are waitlisted will be notified no later than April 30 should funding become available. At any time, waitlisted financial aid applicants can request to be considered without financial aid.

How to apply as a financial aid applicant

Applicants who want to be considered for financial aid must indicate so on the Exeter Summer application. The request for financial aid cannot be added after the Exeter Summer application is submitted.

  • All parents/guardians listed on the Exeter Summer application are required to fully complete our Financial Aid Questionnaire and submit supporting financial documents by the deadline.
  • Upon submission of the Exeter Summer application, an email with instructions on how to complete the Financial Aid Questionnaire will be sent to the parents/guardians indicated on the application.
    • This email will include a link to the Financial Aid Questionnaire to be completed with the required supporting financial documents attached.
    • Supporting financial documents include, but are not limited to: Proof of Income (W-2, 1099, etc.); Tax Documents (IRS 1040, 1065, etc.)
  • Financial aid applicants will not be reviewed by the admissions committee until all materials for the Exeter Summer application have been received (essay, all recommendations, and current grade report) AND the completed Financial Aid Questionnaire with the supporting financial documents.
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that Exeter Summer receives all required documents.
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
