Stephanie Bramlett, Institute Director
Phillips Exeter Academy
Stephanie Bramlett is the Director of Equity and Inclusion at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she serves as the institution’s Chief Diversity Officer. She provides strategic leadership on diversity, equity, and inclusion, focusing on community engagement, student leadership, faculty recruitment and retention, professional development, alumni inclusion, and institutional equity.
Stephanie holds degrees in communications, political science, political philosophy, and sociology. During her tenure at St. Luke’s, an independent school in Connecticut, Stephanie developed a comprehensive “Vision for Inclusive Excellence,” and has worked closely with historically underrepresented students transitioning to college life at the University of New Hampshire.
At Exeter, Dr. Bramlett is committed to shaping and advancing the school’s policies and practices of inclusion. She also serves as Vice President of Black Lives Matter Seacoast and as a board member of People of Color in Independent Schools (POCIS) New England. Her scholarly research focuses on student retention, academic success, and identity development.
