Our licensed allied health professionals are skilled in directly managing injuries and illness that impact physical activity. They focus predominantly on orthopedic injuries through a number of services, including:
- Injury and illness prevention
- Wellness protection
- Clinical evaluation and diagnosis
- Immediate and emergency care
- Rehabilitation and reconditioning
- Human performance
Our athletic training team encourages students to become stewards of their own healthcare by placing them at the center of their recovery and involving them in decision-making whenever possible.
In addition to our on-site athletic training services, the athletic training staff help to arrange referrals, visits and follow-up care with Academy-contracted providers. These include: orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, off-site mental health professionals, orthopedic imaging (X-ray and MRI), and performance practitioners.
