Exeter Student Service Organization is student-led and includes about 50 service-oriented clubs working with community partners. The mission: To provide direct service and support to communities, both locally and globally, and to learn from those experiences and carry that knowledge forward.
With over half of the students participating in ESSO activities each year, there are many ways to connect with your peers and have an impact on the lives of others. ESSO is so popular we’ve given our volunteers a special name: ESSOnians. They embody the spirit of non sibi like no one else.
ESSO Programs
ESSO is pleased to announce our 2024 programs. Children in the Exeter and surrounding communities are invited to participate in free programs taught by our students. This fall we will run a 5 – 6 week program from September 29 through November 9.

If these clubs don’t fit your child’s interest or schedule, we will have a few additional offerings for winter term including squash, arts & crafts, skating and basketball.
At your service
ESSO is a free service program offered by Exeter students to members of the local community. Since 1967, ESSO has built on the Academy’s founding principle of non sibi, or “not for oneself,” by sending students out into the community to serve as volunteers.
