Fostering communication and engagement between the Academy and its Alumni
Exeter’s General Alumni Association (GAA) consists of approximately 22,000 graduates and former students of Phillips Exeter Academy.
The purpose of the GAA is to foster communication and engagement between the Academy and its alumni and within the alumni community to support the mission of the Academy, “to unite goodness and knowledge and inspire youth from every quarter to live purposeful lives.”
A board of elected and appointed alumni serve as directors of the GAA. The GAA president and two vice presidents also serve as Academy trustees. The GAA board acts as the guiding body of the General Alumni Association and in that role “shall engage, to the extent possible, with a broad array of alumni, through on-campus, regional and virtual activities.”
