Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a method to validate your login credentials when a login looks suspicious. If you log in from a new device or from two locations at once, for instance, you’ll get prompted to enter a code that is displayed on the Microsoft Authenticator App or texted to your cell phone.
The first time you log into your account, you will be prompted to set up MFA.
For specific instructions:
Authentication Phone (text message or call)
Microsoft Authenticator App
Note: If your password expires, you will not be able to access the Authenticator app. We recommend you set up at least two methods to ensure you will not have a problem resetting your password — cell phone, and Authenticator app.

If you do not have a cell phone and wish to register for MFA, contact IT Customer Support Services at itservices@exeter.edu or 603-777-3693.
