How many hours can I earn for professional development?

Attendees will earn 40.5 clock hours toward their professional development goals. Clock hour letters will be distributed at the completion of the conference along with a certificate of completion.


How is the conference organized?

  • You will take 2 week-long courses (10 hours each), for which you will register according to your interests.
  • You will attend 3 Featured Speaker Presentations by leading mathematicians, educators, and scientists.
  • A complete Conference-within-a-Conference (CWIC) will run from Monday through Thursday. This consists of 45-minute sessions similar to what one might find at an NCTM, NSTA or T-Cubed conference. You can attend as many CWIC sessions as you would like during free time throughout the day. CwiC sessions will be published in Sched 2 weeks prior to the conference.


Will there be handouts distributed in the courses and at the CwiC sessions?

We are trying to minimize our paper consumption, so most handouts will be available electronically through Sched and Dropbox.


Does the cost of the conference include accommodation and travel?

Registration includes accommodation in a dormitory, but it does not include travel expenses.


What is the dress code for the conference?

Dress code is casual. You are welcome to dress comfortably, including shorts and t-shirts.


What time does registration open at the conference?

            Saturday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm

            Sunday, 9:00am – 1:00pm


What time does the conference end?

The conference officially ends at 1:00pm on Friday, which is at the close of lunch in the dining hall.


Where can I find an updated conference schedule?

The updated conference schedule will be available in June in the weeks leading up to the opening of the conference, and you will be able to access it on-line with Sched.


Will there be wireless internet access?

Yes, Phillips Exeter Academy has wireless internet access in the classrooms, dormitories, dining hall, social areas, the gym, and the library.


Are meals included in the registration fee?

Meals are included starting with brunch on Sunday and ending with lunch on Friday. All meals are served in Elm Street Dining Hall. Complimentary snacks and refreshments are also available Monday through Thursday, mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
