Uche Okonkwo is a Nigerian writer. She has an MFA in Fiction from Virginia Tech, and a master’s in Creative Writing from University of Manchester.

Her stories have been published in One Story, Ploughshares, The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2019, Lagos Noir, and Ellipsis. She was the 2019 Bernard O’Keefe Scholar at Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and a 2017 resident at Writers Omi.

She is working on her first short story collection.
