Front Street Common

The west side of Exeter’s campus will be transformed with the addition of a new 42,000-square-foot multipurpose building known as Front Street Common. As the 26th dorm on campus, the space will add to the Academy’s vibrant residential community with 60 student beds and five faculty apartments.

Under the same roof, four Harkness classrooms and 2,500 square feet of common space will provide Exonians with top-notch facilities to learn, study and connect. An expansive quad will link the new building with Front Street Dorm and Dow House via open-air green space, creating a cohesive residential area along Front Street. With a target completion date of July 2022, Front Street Common will provide a lasting impact for generations to come.

Dormitory living is very much in line with the Academy’s mission of uniting goodness and knowledge. The dorms are particular spaces where students can develop a sense of belonging and engagement.”
