Morgan Dudley

Biography

Exeter changed my life, and offered opportunities I would never have had growing up in a small college town nearby. It is a privilege to come back to serve the Academy, and to help build a strong and secure future for our school and help provide those same opportunities to others.

I began my career in development at Exeter, when I was living in New York and working on Wall Street. A call from a classmate asking me to volunteer as a class agent evolved into an opportunity to work in annual giving. After three happy years at Exeter, working in Gilman House, tutoring French, coaching girls track and conducting interviews for the admissions office, I headed west to graduate school. 

After graduating from Stanford, I worked at the Asian Art Museum and the French American International School in San Francisco before returning to the East Coast. I spent 18 years at the University of New Hampshire working closely with the president on principal gifts over the course of two capital campaigns.

I live in Exeter with my husband, Ted, who works at ThermoFisher Scientific, and our daughter, Lauren, who is an intern at the Harris Family Children’s Center and is heading to college in Cambridge this fall to study early childhood education.  

As a member of the PEA community, I serve as adviser to the Exeter Off-Planet Society, an organization of students interested in the intersection of space exploration and business. The students have attended the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node; gathered stardust from the roof of Love Gym using powerful handheld magnets; and brought speakers, including my classmate Tim Kuo ’77, to campus to talk about careers in space. They are a powerful reminder of the inquisitive, determined, joyful students Exeter sends out into the world.
