Shorey '12 Tabbed as CAA Student-Athlete of the Year
Shorey caps collegiate career with a collection of post-season awards.
Cam Shorey ’12 has gathered quite the collection of accolades as he wrapped up his football playing career at the University of New Hampshire this past fall, but perhaps none more extraordinary than the honor he received last week as he was named the Colonial Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Year.
Shorey, who was the Robert E. Mason Football Team MVP and a Class A All-New England First Team selection in his final season at Exeter, has been no stranger to post-season awards during his time at UNH. He was also named to the CAA All-Conference First Team, the New England Football Writers Division I All-New England First Team, and received UNH’s Eugene K. Auerbach Student-Athlete Award. Last season he was a CoSIDA Division I Academic First Team honoree and was a four-time member of the CAA Football Academic All-Conference Team.
Shorey was a force on the field in 2016 as he led UNH with 10 tackles for a loss, 45 total tackles, three sacks and an interception.
