A pair of track and field school records were snapped last weekend at the New Balance Battle Road Twilight Series at Bentley University. Maggie Hock set a new program standard in the 800 meter with a time of 2:11.58. Hers was the second fastest performance by a tenth grader in the country this season and qualifies her for the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championship that will be held in Greensboro, North Carolina from June 16-18.

Hock’s record follows up a terrific freshman year in which she turned in the fastest 800 meter indoor time and fourth fastest outdoor time among all first-years in the country.

Atticus Stonestrom '17 capped his Big Red career with a program record as he cruised to a time of 8:43.52 in the 3000 meter. Garrett Pitt '17 joined Stonestrom in the event and set a new personal record of 8:55.48.

Matthew Wabunoha '20 and Issay Matsumoto '17 rounded out Exeter’s efforts. Wabunoha finished in the top 10 in the 100 meter with a time of 11.80 while Matsumoto competed in the 800 meter and finished in 2:07.19.
