Exciting Week Ahead for Big Red

Exeter gears up for a big week of post-season play.

After exciting E/A games this past Saturday, Big Red has another big week ahead full of action.

Boys and girls varsity track will travel to the New Balance Armory in New York City for the 83rd running of the Eastern States Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday afternoon. Both sides have put together a terrific season thus far and each has had runners qualify for the National meet on March 10.

The boys and girls varsity diving teams will head to Deerfield Academy and compete in the New England Prep School Championships on Wednesday, while the swimming teams will compete at New England’s on Saturday at the Hotchkiss School. Be sure to tune into the live stream of the diving championships.

The boys varsity hockey team compiled an impressive 22-6-1 overall record and has earned a bid to the NEPSAC Stuart/Corkery (Elite 8) Tournament. Big Red will play as the No. 8 seed and travel to face off with top-seeded Lawrence Academy on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The winner will move on to play on Saturday afternoon.

The boys varsity basketball team will also be in post-season competition on Wednesday as it plays host to Noble & Greenough in the opening round of the NEPSAC Class A Tournament at 5:00 p.m. Exeter has earned the No. 2 seed while Nobles will play as the seventh seed.
