Richard S. Aaronian

Mr. Aaronian has been teaching introductory biology, marine biology and ornithology at Exeter for 42 years. He received a B.A. in zoology from the University of New Hampshire and has done graduate work at the University of South Florida and UNH, where he specialized in marine interstitial ciliates. During his years at Exeter, Rich served as chair of the Science Department in the initial planning stages of the Phelps Science Center, as a dorm head, as head coach of the JV boys hockey team for 26 years, and on numerous committees. He and his family lived in Scotland for a year, and he has spent time in China, Australia, the Galapagos and the Peruvian Amazon. Mr. Aaronian continues to attend various conferences and is an active member of the Seacoast chapter of New Hampshire Audubon.
