Lauren O’Neal is the director and curator of the Lamont Gallery at Phillips Exeter Academy and a faculty member in Boston University’s graduate program in arts administration. Previously, she directed the arts management program at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Ms. O’Neal has curated exhibits for the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Federal Reserve Bank and the Somerville Museum, among others, and has written for publications including Art New England. She has taught at and developed educational programs for organizations including MassArt, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, the Art Institute of Boston, and Young Audiences.

Ms. O’Neal has exhibited her artwork at the Portland Museum of Art, the Housatonic Museum of Art, the Theatre Academy of Finland and Purdue University. She has been the recipient of grants, residencies and fellowships from the Somerville Arts Council, the Nelimarkka Museum, Artscape Gibraltar Point, and University of the Arts Helsinki (Kuvataideakatemia), and has presented at the College Art Association Annual Conference, the European Artistic Research Network, and the Nordic Forum for Dance Research. Ms. O’Neal received her MFA from the Maine College of Art, and an Ed.M. from Harvard University. She is currently pursuing doctoral research at the University of the Arts Helsinki.
