Biography

Jason Baseden arrives from the Peddie School in New Jersey where he spent the last 5 years as the director of athletics. Prior to joining Peddie, he spent seven years in the same role at the International School of Brussels in Belgium.

Baseden earned his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in New York where he was a two-time captain of the track and field team. He earned his Master’s in Athletic Administration from Ohio University.

Prior to his move to Brussels, Jason co-founded Capital Star Camps and coached basketball and track and field at the American School of Paris.

Baseden has a professional background in sales and marketing. He worked for Universal Television and the Discovery Channel for a number of years before making a career change to the educational sector.

A three-sport athlete in high school, Baseden is passionate about the benefits educational athletics can provide to youth. He sits on the board of the International Association of Athletic Administrators and Coaches as well as the board of Hoops 4 Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching life skills through basketball.
