Art, Conversation & Coffee
Slow Art Day Comes to the Lamont Gallery!
When people look slowly at a piece of art they make discoveries.
Join the Lamont Gallery for Slow Art Day, a global event where you can experience art in new & nourishing ways, and discover your own potential for seeing and appreciating art more fully.
With coffee and pastries in hand, we’ll look at several pieces of work in Clew for 5-10 minutes each, and then gather for guided conversations led by friendly, skilled, and curious hosts… who knows what you will discover?! No art experience necessary!
About Slow Art Day:
One day each year people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at works of art for 5-10 minutes and then meet together to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.
"It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see."
- Henry David Thoreau
This program is free but please RSVP by April 1 to email@example.com.
